City Update

I know the threat of Covid-19 is affecting so many of you. For some, it a direct threat to your health, and for others, it is having an immediate effect on your income and savings. I refuse to give in to fear and uncertainty. We are the same community that supported and continue to support our neighbors through the worst of Mother Nature. We are still #MtJulietStrong

Mt. Juliet Tornado Damage

I want to express my condolences to all the families impacted by the loss of life and those who are suffering as a result of Tuesday morning's devastating tornadoes. We all grieve with you on the loss of your family and friends. To those who were injured, we send hope and prayers for your complete healing. I also share your pride in our first responders, who bravely responded so quickly, saving the lives of many. I want to thank our city staff, the doctors and nurses for their care and professionalism, the countless volunteers, neighboring cities for their aid, Rehab 23, and Victory Baptist Church for opening their doors on a moment's notice to the community.

James Maness

Vice Mayor
